Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Retention Marketing role is responsible for driving customer retention and reducing subscriber churn as well as growing ARPU and LTV growth through marketing across the member base.
This role will define and develop integrated marketing strategies and plans that leverage paid, owned and earned channels/media that align to company priorities and deliver on commercial and brand objectives. An understanding of the evolving MarTech/AdTech space and the ability to articulate and positively orchestrate sophisticated marketing plans across multiple channels and teams are critical for success.
In addition, this position is pivotal to ensuring execution of targeted marketing programs across all functional marketing areas are consistent and to ensure the product experience, digital transformation and brand marketing priorities are met. This opportunity is a meaningful and exciting role for a marketing leader with a passion for building comprehensive capabilities and leading a successful team.
Job Duties:
- Develop marketing strategies and manage integrated marketing plans that deliver to goals with an emphasis on reducing lifecycle churn and improving overall customer experience
- Owns and authors existing customer retention marketing plan; Works closely with leadership to align campaign plans/priorities and orchestrate teams/resources to bring plans to market
- Reduce passive and active churn through optimization of current lifecycle journeys as well as lead ideation and execution of new opportunities to drive retention across all products
- Leverage data, analytics, and segmentation to identify opportunities and insights and translate needs into executable integrated marketing plans that improve performance and deliver on objectives
- Partners with internal stakeholder teams to ensure strategic objectives are accurately tracked and measured to evaluate performance
- Partners with product teams and internal creative on creation of world-class communications and collateral that speaks to the audience and campaign objectives
- Partner with data analytics to optimize performance of customer segments to deliver innovative marketing tests and identify untapped revenue opportunities to substantially improve metrics and achieve KPIs for retention, winback/reactivation, referral, and payment journeys
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related studies, or 10 years of equivalent work experience
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing, ideally recurring revenue or subscription-focused, delivering bottom-line impacts through marketing initiatives
- Exceptional experience applying consumer insights to improve campaign targeting, delivery, performance, etc.
- Campaign leadership skills – end-to-end campaign development including strategy, segmentation, targeting, etc. in a multi-channel environment
- Must have a solid understanding of digital marketing and experience including web/ecommerce, media, social, paid search, attribution, optimization, etc. Experience in data-driven marketing techniques and traditional database marketing is essential
- Strong communication skills by presentation, written and verbal methods with frequent C-Level presentations
- Ability to influence, lead and coach cross-functional teams and champion new concepts and ideas
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to a variety of audiences including executives and non-technical leaders, while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence
