The Strategic Account Operations Specialist (SAOS) is responsible for achieving strategically aligned sales and brand development objectives for Mizuno’s Strategic Accounts Team. The SAOS is responsible for creating, coordinating,and executing inbound & outbound product data to ensure a seamless ordering process for existing and new business. This position involves assisting in various aspects of sales management, including client communication, sales strategy development, and administrative tasks. The SAOS will work closely with the Strategic Accounts Manager (SAM) to ensure smooth functioning of sales operations and the achievement of sales targets. This position is based in Peachtree Corners, GA.
The SAOS will perform specific tasks like the following:
- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and sales reports
- Assist in researching and analyzing key accounts to understand their business needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Coordinate with internal teams, like marketing, supply chain, and product managers to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with account contacts to build and maintain strong relationships, address concerns, and identify areas of improvement
- Serve as the main point of product/order information for customers – develop relationships, respond to customer requests, and manage expectations and deliverables
- Participate in and help organize sales meetings, conferences, and events with key accounts
- Collaborate with SAM and other team members to continuously improve sales processes and strategies
- Partner with Strategic Accounts Sales Managers to effectively execute sales drivers that lead to increased conversion rates.
- Troubleshoot and correct inbound or outbound data flow issues
- Maintain ledger for all contractual and compliance claims paid
- Onboard new customers, including assisting in discovery meetings, creating strategic plans, and planning timelines and budgets to ensure successful execution of sales
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-3 years’ experience in sales support or administrative role preferred, especially in the wholesale sporting goods industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and relationships with clients
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to support sales decisions
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Previous experience with JD Edwards software and IBM Cognos Analytics preferred
- Ability to achieve goals and execute tasks independently
- Ability to adapt quickly and flexibly to rapid change
- Ability to take initiative and proactively identify process improvements
- High level of emotional intelligence and leadership skills
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an open office environment
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
