PGA HOPE Introduces Golf to Veterans and Active-Duty Military to Enhance their Physical, Mental, Social and Emotional Well-Being
Shot Scope will Donate $25 from every PRO L2 Rangefinder Purchased through the SCPGA to the Southern California PGA HOPE Program
Edinburgh, Scotland – Shot Scope (www.shotscope.com), the golf industry-leader in advanced GPS and, rangefinder and shot tracking technology, is teaming-up with the Southern California PGA (SCPGA) for a special promotion to support Veterans participating in the SCPGA PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) Program. From May 1st through July 31st, Shot Scope will donate $25 from every PRO L2 Laser Rangefinder purchased through the SCPGA to the Southern California PGA HOPE Program (www.shotscope.com/us/pga-hope) in support of Veterans.
PGA HOPE, the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the 501c3 charitable foundation of the PGA of America, introduces golf to Veterans and Active-Duty Military as a therapeutic part of the rehabilitation process to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Led by PGA Professionals, PGA HOPE helps America’s heroes assimilate back into their communities through the social interaction the game of golf provides. Participants of PGA HOPE programs include military Veterans living with physical or cognitive challenges such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and amputees, among other challenges.
Featuring a 6-week instructional golf clinic, followed by a graduation and on-course golfing opportunities, PGA HOPE in Southern California is partially funded by PGA REACH and subsidized by the SCPGA Foundation so the program can be offered at NO COST to participants. A national program, PGA HOPE serves over 17,000 Veterans at 500+ program locations annually, while the SCPGA, one of the PGA of America’s largest program operators, hosts nearly 1,000 Veterans at 28 locations throughout Southern California.
