Overland Park, Kansas – There’s not a day on the golf course when the weather doesn’t matter. That’s why Vortex Weather Insurance is pleased to announce a partnership with PGA Magazine Group as part of Vortex’s efforts to further expand its reach to golf professionals and general managers nationwide.
The PGA Magazine Group partnership comes on the heels of successful partnerships with six PGA sections and will give Vortex a nationwide platform to reach the golf industry. The deal will leverage PGA Magazine Group’s existing relationships with industry professionals to introduce them to the benefits of Vortex’s array of weather insurance products.
Personal experience with Vortex’s rain insurance helped solidify the deal. “Working with Vortex Weather Insurance to create a rain insurance policy specifically tailored to our needs (location, date/hours, measured rainfall) delivered exactly what we wanted,” says PGA Magazine Group Chairman and CEO Rick Summers. “Our NFL Alumni Draft Pro-Am, co-produced with Buffalo Groupe, took place on Day 1 of the NFL Draft and included 24 former NFL players. One day to make it all work, with no rain date option. Vortex allowed us to buy the right insurance at a very affordable price. It meant one less thing to worry about … exactly what we were looking for.”
The partnership will allow PGA Magazine Group to introduce golf industry professionals and general managers to a product that they believe offers great value for those hosting various golf and/or non-golf events.
“We’re excited about partnering with PGA Magazine Group because it will allow us to put our weather insurance in front of golf professionals and general managers,” says Eric Anderson, Vortex’s director of national sales – golf. “We know PGA Magazine has cultivated long-term relationships and are highly respected in the industry. Through this partnership, we are confident that we will be better able to meet the right PGA Professionals and share the value that our products can provide … a tool that will protect golf event revenue from bad weather.”
Weather insurance provides peace of mind and revenue protection for those hosting outdoor events, guaranteeing a recovery of at least some revenue when the rain thresholds of the policy are met.
