BRENTWOOD, Tenn., – PrideSports® confirms the winner of the 2023 Masters Tournament at Augusta National this weekend.
A series of downpours and cold weather made this Masters Tournament one of the more demanding tests in recent history at Augusta. Players who trusted replaceable Softspikes had an advantage over the players who wore the spikeless alternative. This fact was proven on the weekend leaderboard with 44 out of the 54 players who made the cut trusting Softspikes. In other words, only 10 players wearing spikeless made the cut.
The mounds and slopes of the course are difficult to navigate on a dry day making them even more treacherous while wet. Players wearing spikes were able to manage the conditions and climb up the leaderboard while others struggled.
The two-time Major Champion trusted the ‘Ringer’ shoe from Cuater equipped with Pivix spikes.
With this victory, replaceable spikes have been worn by the winner of the last 5 Major Championships and 14 of the last 16 Majors since 2018.
“It was another thrilling week at The Masters and a great start to the golf season!” said Joe Henderson, President of PrideSports®. “The weather conditions clearly demonstrated the importance of using Softspikes. When conditions are difficult, it is even more important to utilize spikes. We design these products to perform at a high level in all environments, the proof has been seen in the results.”
