Oakmont, PA — In 1991, Pro-ShopKeeper began as the golf industry’s first completely Windows based solution for golf pro shops. Today, the Oakmont, Penn., company has expanded its product lines to include total golf facility management tools designed to meet the expanding needs of owners and operators of private, semi-private and daily fee clubs.

According to CEO, Rick Robshaw, "we needed to develop a corporate identity that more closely mirrored the evolution of our company. In addition to the new Pro Shop Point of Sale and Tee Times, our Club Prophet Systems can now provide food & beverage POS, back office accounting, member billing and loyalty point tracking." In addition, Club Prophet Systems will also manage in-house and Internet tee times reservations and lesson schedules as well as interfaces to hotel PMS systems.

Among the clubs using Club Prophet Systems are Seminole in Palm Beach, Fla., Cog Hill in Chicago and Cypress Point on the Monterey Peninsula. "We also have expanded our international presence as well to countries like England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and the far east including Thailand and Vietnam among others," said Robshaw. Software is available in any language he noted.

While Pro-ShopKeeper will remain the product name of one solution, the company’s latest product line is built on state-of-the-art Microsoft.Net technology and Microsoft SQL server databases. These sets of tools allow golf facilities to not only determine past histories, but it also influences what can happen in the future by forecasting and setting trends.

So, how does the name "Prophet" come into play? "We can actually forecast play so facilities can determine when they need to be proactive in attracting more customers," says Robshaw. "Furthermore, we can provide advanced E-mail campaign tools to target and reach customers quickly and easily to help clubs improve their ‘profit’ as well," he noted.
