San Diego, CA (October 18, 2005, 2005) Aldila, golf’s leading designer and manufacturer of high performance graphite wood and irons shafts, had three wins this past week with players using their NV shafts – Champion’s Tour, Administaff Small Business Classic; PGA Tour’s, Michelin Championship at Las Vegas; and the Nationwide Tour’s, Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic. According to the Darrell Survey Company, the winner of the Administaff Small Business Classic was using the Aldila NV Hybrid Shaft. The winner of Michelin Championship at Las Vegas used the new Aldila VS Proto shaft. The winner of the Permian Basin Charity Golf Classic used the NV 65.
The Darrell Survey Company also reported that the Aldila NV Hybrid shaft remained the most popular Hybrid shaft on the PGA and Nationwide Tour’s. The NV Hybrid and VS Proto Hybrid dominated the hybrid shaft count on the PGA Tour. On the Nationwide Tour, more than 50% of all hybrid shafts in play were NV Hybrids and new VS Proto Hybrid shafts. In addition, Aldila had twice as many wood shafts in play as the second place shaft manufacturer.
