(LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 12, 2005) – The Professional CLUBMAKERS’ Society (PCS) announced 13 graduates of its Advanced Fitting School held Oct. 1-3, 2005, at the organization’s International Headquarters, the Elmore Just Clubmakers Cottage, in Louisville, Ky. The attendees covered all aspects of properly fitting golfers with precisely matched components to create a set of professionally fit golf clubs.
This school uses the PCS-approved fitting process that includes observations, launch monitor data, the PCS Fitting Form to gather fitting data, the PCS Swing Speed Chart to determine initial shaft flex, PCS analysis recommendations, and the PCS Equalizer to formulate build to specifications.
PCS Advanced Fitting Schools also will be held at the PCS Headquarters on Nov. 7-9, 2005, and Feb. 27-March 1, 2006.

Combining classroom instruction with hands-on practical demonstrations, the PCS Advanced Fitting School guides clubmakers through all steps necessary to measure and fit golfers and select components matched to the golfer’s swing and ability. Attendees also received a CD filled with 15-minute summaries of different fitting processes demonstrated by some of the world’s best club fitting experts.
The PCS, an independent professional society of more than 1,000 clubmakers, is the largest independent professional association of golf clubmakers in the world. It offers three certification exams that combine a written portion with a hands-on skills test, which is the most rigorous, continually updated certification process in the clubmaking industry.
